1 - How does it work? (Click on the question to see the content) |
ZEROFLATS is a special formulation of nanocapsulated latex that stays liquid inside your tire but when a leakage occours it coagulates creating a flexible and permanent plug with similar characteristics of tire rubber. When you have a flat tire with ZEROFLATS most of the time you don’t even notice: the system closes while you ride and loss of pressure is minimal. |
2 - Will it hurt my tires? (Click on the question to see the content) |
Some products on the market deteriorate the flexibility of tires after some months, making them fragile and breakable. The exclusive ZEROFLATS formula keeps the mechanical characteristics of the original rubber indefinitely so it doesn’t affect its behavior. |
3 - Are there any disadvantages? (Click on the question to see the content) |
Mounted in a tubeless tire, which only represents a small increase in weight (over 60 gr per tire). It has the same disadvantages of a TUBELESS system except the security is so high and you will not lose pressure. Ride with a standard tire in front of tubeless tires has some other drawbacks that you should know: • Standard tires have thinner walls so it is easier to break them with a sharp stone. • ZEROFLATS must be added more often, because they are more porous. • It is more difficult to mount. You will need a compressor (once they are bedded in, you can use any pump). |
4 - What are the advantages? (Click on the question to see the content) |
- You will decrease weight - You will be protect against punctures. - You will improve your wheel quality - You will have less rolling resistence because of the thinner and more flexible walls - You will have more traction, especially if you lower the tire pressure (we recommend it you). Don’t worry about pinching your inner tube (you don’t have one!) - More options: with lower pressure, tires give improved traction in all terrains and conditions. This will let you try tires more rideables and light… you will be surprised with the quality and traction they offer, and the speed you will experience! - It is cheaper than buying inner tubes and patches. - Of course, it’s cheaper than tubeless tires. |
5 - What happens if I break the tire? (Click on the question to see the content) |
Well, you had bad luck, because this is not a ZEROFLAT problem! There is no other possibility than mount an inner tube, clogging the cut with a peace of rubber, and if it is big enough that you could see the rim, a good advice is always carry a peace of tire to cover the hole before to mount the inner tube. According to the cut size, at home you could repair the tire, but if it’s too big, you should throw it away. But, before you can cut a piece to have it with you! |
6 - What happens if I have a puncture? (Click on the question to see the content) |
That means you let all ZEROFLATS evaporate. In that case, you will have to do what all people do when have a flat tire: take out the valve, take out all the punctures from the tire, and mount an inner tube. |
7 - How do i repaire a broken tire? (Click on the question to see the content) |
The easiest way is not to do it: let ZEROFLATS do it. The plug it is formed is flexible and permanent. If you have a big hole, or a cut, first you have to decide if it is worth repairing it. If yes, dry the inner tire with a hair dryer, and repair it as if it was an inner tube, with glue and a standard patch. In the market you could find special patches for tubeless tires, that are more rigids, but if the hole is this big that you need one of these patches, probably it is better idea to repair... |
8 - How will it affect my riding? (Click on the question to see the content) |
The best advantage is that you can lower the pressure taking advantage of any tire has less ride resistence when it doesn’t have an inner tube inside. We recommend low pressures, over 30psi (2(kg.) for a biker that weights 70 kg. The ideal point depends on your style, so you will have to try a little bit, but normally you will find that tires have more traction, offer more comfortability and a ride better. If you have a rigid bike, you will feel the most difference! |
9 - What happens if I don’t like it? (Click on the question to see the content) |
Don’t worry. If you don’t like it, mount again the standard inner tube. ZEROFLATS is not an adhesive, it rinses easily with water, and does’nt leave any permanent residue in your tire. But, be ready to have a flat tire... |
